Thermal Desorption

Pure Earth Recycling (NJ), Inc. operates an on site fixed Thermal Desorption Unit (TDU) for soil remediation. The TDU's design assumes the worst condition of destructing contaminants within heavy clay material at 25% soil moisture content and up. Soils treated can be certified to less than 10 ppm total petroleum hydrocarbons.

• Soils may be contaminated with high levels of total petroleum hydrocarbons and coal tar containing:

Using the on site TDU, Pure Earth Treatment (NJ) can effectively treat soils contaminated with:

• Virgin petroleum products



• Petroleum hydrocarbons



• Highly viscous lubricating oils



• Poly aromatic hydrocarbon-containing compounds such as soils contaminated with:
  
  
  • Manufactured gas plant (coal tar) residuals
  • Solvent compounds (BTEX)
  • Low-level chlorinated hydrocarbon compounds
  • CCP (Commercial Chemical Products)



• Total desorption and destruction resulting in:
  
  
  • Certified clean fill less than 10 ppm TPHC (Federal/New Jersey cleanup criteria)
  • I-5 road base produced for resale and reuse
  • Compactable certified clean fill returnable to your site
