Geology Services

As part of our broad range of environmental solutions, Pure Earth Recycling (NJ), Inc. also offers the experts from our Geology Services team to assist our clients as needed. This service can also include third-party review and oversight of Environmental Reports and documents when warranted.

Site Investigation/Remediation

• Soil and groundwater sampling of both residential and commercial properties to delineate contamination and develop Remedial Action Work plans (RAW)



• Site assessments through soil borings and analysis for property transactions

Tank Testing

• Tests the integrity of both regulated and non-regulated/homeowner underground storage tanks with a two-part testing system



• Tank certifications for lenders, homeowners insurance, and property transfers

Tank Inspections

• Ultrasonic thickness meter to measure the steel of aboveground and underground tanks



• Visual inspections of above/underground tanks



• Inspections of aboveground homeowner heating oil tank systems to identify potential problems prior to sale of a property

Groundwater Monitoring

• Installation of groundwater monitoring wells



• Groundwater investigations to develop monitoring/remediation plans through sampling and analysis

ASTM Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

• Complete site investigation and historical records search to determine past uses of a commercial property and identify possible areas of concern



• Recognizes current potential locations of contamination, conducts necessary sampling/research to determine if an environmental issue exists

Ecological Evaluations

• Identification of ecologically sensitive natural resources



• Establishment of site specific clean up standards



• Identification of contaminants that bio-magnify, bio-accumulate, or exceed NJDEP or EPA clean up standards
