About Pure Earth Recycling (NJ), Inc.

Pure Earth Recycling is an EPA/NJDEP-approved Part B facility for the disposal, handling, processing and treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

The company was established in 1979 as Pure Earth Treatment (NJ), an oil reclamation and tank management business. In 1982, continued growth necessitated that it be divided into two separate companies: one to handle the lease management aspect of the business and one dedicated to providing environmental solutions. The environmental solutions company was originally incorporated under the name Casie Ecology Oil Salvage, Inc. (Casie ProTank), and has recently changed to Pure Earth Recycling (NJ), Inc. in order to take advantage of the name recognition associated with our parent company, Pure Earth, Inc.

Pure Earth Recycling handles tank management including: cleaning, decontamination, removal, installation, testing and repair of above and underground tanks. The company's tank-cleaning capabilities range from simple decontamination of 55-gallon drums to cleaning 22 million gallon #6 oil storage tanks. In addition to cleaning tanks that contain flammable or combustible petroleum products, Pure Earth Recycling also cleans tanks that have held both caustic and acidic chemical compounds such as styrene, methyl ethyl ketone, and butyl acrylate. Tank installation experience ranges from 275-gallon homeowner oil tanks to 30,000-gallon above and underground tanks. Tank removals consist of tanks as small as a 275-gallon steel tank to as large as a 100,000-gallon concrete tank.

Pure Earth Recycling has been an EPA/NJDEP-approved Part B facility since 1983 for the disposal, handling, processing and treatment of tank bottom materials resulting from the removal of underground and aboveground storage tanks. As a licensed hazardous waste facility in the State of New Jersey, the company complies with the most stringent rules and regulations and requires that all employees dealing with hazardous wastes complete OSHA 40-hour training. As a licensed hazardous and solid waste transporter in 18 states and Canada, Pure Earth Recycling must comply with DOT regulations and environmental regulations for each.

The addition of an in-house NJDEP-certified laboratory designed as a quality-control mechanism for the facility and field services personnel, and the expansion of the geology department, allows Pure Earth Recycling (NJ) to not only perform tank services, but also environmental consulting, such as soil and groundwater investigation studies. Our continued growth and desire to meet and exceed the environmental solution needs of our clients, ensures that we have the resources to handle anything from a simple homeowner oil tank removal to large soil and groundwater remediation projects. We hope you'll consider putting our experience to work for you.
